Ellen Hodkin holds a bachelor’s degree in education from New York University, and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University. She is Florida-certified in Elementary Education, and middle and high school English. She taught Kindergarten in New York before moving to Florida and becoming director of a nursery school in South Miami.
For 15 years, Mrs. Hodkin served as the Guidance Counselor at a large private school in Hollywood, Florida. During that time, she also served as the Assistant to the Principal. She looks forward to again using her counseling skills to benefit the children of Ben Gamla Kendall, promoting a cohesive and positive educational experience, and fostering sensitivity and responsibility.
Mrs. Hodkin lives in Hollywood. She and her husband are the proud parents of four children, and two grandchildren, all of whom are New Yorkers.
