Parotti, Kaitlyn

Welcome To Ms. Parotti’s 4th Grade Science

and Social Studies Webpage

Hi everybody, my name is Kaitlyn Parotti. I was born and raised on an island in The Bahamas; I didn’t move to Miami until I graduated from high school. It has been a wonderful experience living here in Miami!

I currently attend Barry University, where I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education, and I am currently on the way to obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education as well.

This is my first year teaching in a classroom, however I spent some time here at Ben Gamla last year volunteering, so I’ve become familiar with the warm, welcoming hands of the staff and parents here at Ben Gamla. I am very enthusiastic about learning, I love to teach students who love to learn, and I am dedicated to giving the students my absolute best from the moment they step into my classroom.

ย Dear parents, I have attached the packet for the Science Project here:

  1. Science Fair Packet
  2. Science Fair Student Checklist

Resources that you can use for the Science Project:

Background Summary: What your child has found out while researching the experiment of their choosing.

Hypothesis: Needs to be in an “if, then statement”. (If I do this during my experiment, then this will happen)

After students have written the results of their experiment. Please have your child type up all of the information that they have created for the Science Project. If you do not have an accessible computer or printer please let me know, we will try to work something out.

ย Science Resources for Students at home:

To practice Science Concepts at home, parents you can go on the internet and google Bill Nye the Science Guy. He has free videos on Youtube about everything we do here in Science. Choose the topic that we are talking about in class and let your children watch it. He explains difficult concepts in a way students can understand easily.
