Our class is learning the letters Daled and Hey–the fourth and fifth letters of the Hebrew alphabet. As usual, we are having fun singing, dancing and playing. Your children should already be counting to ten, naming at least 5 animals in Hebrew, and singing various songs. We love having fun in Hebrew class!
First Grade (Kitah Alef)
Our class is having fun learning the Hebrew alphabet with our book Alef is for Apple. We are also starting to learn about beautiful Israel through our book My Land of Israel. We sing and dance and play in Hebrew everyday!
Second Grade (Kitah Bet)
Our class is using the Alef Bet Hebrew primer as an introductory workbook. We use it to reintroduce the letters and vowels. It is a fantastic book which aims to teach students how to gradually read Hebrew. In addition, we are also exploring the amazing and beautiful Israel through our fun book called Israel Scavenger Hunt. We have already visited the city of Haifa and know that it is located in the north of Israel and other fun facts about the port city.
Third Grade (Kitah Gimmel)
Our class is using the book Yesh Lanu Lama as a “reading” book. However, we will mostly be working on conversational Hebrew. We are starting with the basics and aim to build up as we practice using what we learn. We are using Let’s Discover Israel which will help us explore different cities in Israel.
